Learning Outcomes
The successful completion of the course will offer to students an understanding of the main theoretical concepts in the field of Political Science. They will be familiarized with the study of political parties, party systems, political regimes as well as issues related to political behaviour and pressure groups. The courses are complemented by extensive references to different political and electoral systems in the world, offering students the basis for a broader conceptual analysis of the political phenomenon.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course is a continuation of the respective course of the previous winter semester. After introducing the students to key conceptual issues in the field of Political Science, the main objective of the current course is to provide a more in- depth analysis of various topics in Political Science both by presenting an overview of its main subfields, and through the analysis of the different facets of the political phenomenon. Εmphasis is given to acquiring knowledge regarding the executive power. The course also focuses on political behavior and in particular on electoral behavior and political culture issues. We examine the unconventional forms of political behavior, with emphasis on pressure / interest groups and social movements. Finally, the course is also framed by the theme of multi-level and global governance, aiming to offer to the students an understanding of the multifaceted approach of political analysis.
