Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester students must be able to: ● be familiar with the main features of the foreign language strategies of comprehension, learning and usage ● incorporate the main features of Learners' Autonomy into their lesson planning ● search for and find the necessary bibliography in various ways, including new technologies (ICT) ● make presentations using various presentation means and techniques, including the use of new technologies (ICT) ● make justified didactic remarks based on the theory they were taught and the lesson analysis they have conducted ● present best practice examples according to the Theories about Learners' Autonomy ● reflect, establish and evaluate the theories and best practices they have learned ● prove in their Portfolio at the end of the seminar that they reflect everything they have learned and done ● wright a scientific paper

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course is an extension of the mandatory course under the same title and code name and can be only chosen along with it. The focus of the course is the Learners' Autonomy and the main features of the foreign language strategies of comprehension, learning and usage. At the first part of the seminar, after an introduction to the theory, students have the opportunity to explore, practice and appreciate the implementation of learning, comprehension and use strategies in foreign language learning. At the second part of the seminar the students will work in small teams in order to present the theoretical issues as well as applications of a part of strategies and they will teach some of them to the other participants. After each presentation there is a feedback and an analysis of the presented strategies.

Description
During lectures, we use new information and communication technologies (ICT), such as the pc for the projection of slides, videos etc., and the interactive whiteboard. Additionally, the elearning (Moodle) platform is used for the following: a) To make announcements concerning all the participants b) To upload any additional material the lecturers use with the students in conventional or in powerpoint form c) To send group electronic messages to sub-groups d) To upload scientific papers that need to be studied e) To give directions regarding the writing of the papers and the final written exam f) To receive the in-between papers, which the lecturers correct and return with their remarks to the students g) To check students’ papers for plagiarism

Description
This course is an extension of the mandatory course under the same title and code name and can be only chosen along with it. A minimum grade of 5 must be achieved in every part. The final grade is calculated as follows: • written essay on an issue of the theory at the seminar at the end of the semester
