Course Content (Syllabus)
Economy of energy. Fossil and renewable energy sources. Energy storage. Fuell cells. Energy management in chemical industry. The use of mathematical models in chemical technology. Methodology of predictions in technology. Time series analysis. Predictions with constant, linear and polynomial models. Exponential weighting techniques. Prediction of probability distribution. Chemical reactors, elements of simulation or reaction kinetics, case studies, elements of optimization of efficiency-profit, new products by blending, introduction to blending optimization.
