Learning Outcomes
Students will be introduced to the basic anthropological and cultural approaches regarding the relationship between culture and nature. In addition, they will understand the environment both as a framework for the formation of culture and as something that can be transformed by it. Finally, they will develop critical thinking skills regarding issues related to the environment and the relationship between human and non-human entities (denial of climate change, conspiracy theories about the coronavirus, etc.)

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course focuses on the anthropological study of the interrelation between human cultures and different environments by drawing on different theoretical approaches such as cultural ecology, political ecology, functionalism, structuralism, post-structuralism, and post-humanism.
