Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the courses students will have acquired a basic knowledge about:
~ the general pattern of the History of modern Greek prose (1789-1914) (authors, texts)
~ the features of fundamental aesthetic trends (romanticism, realism, naturalism, etc.)
~ the main literary schools and tendencies of modern Greek literature, especially of modern Greek prose 1789-1914 (e.g., Athenian School of Romanticism, Generation of the 1880s)
~ the critical reading of texts of modern Greek prose (1789-1914).
