Course Content (Syllabus)
Τhe course is an introduction to analysis of social research data by mean of computer software. It focuses on the basic procedures of ΙΒΜ/ SPSS, special software for social science. During instructions data from Educational Research are analyzed with the aim, first the acquisition of operational skills and second the basic understanding of the resulting computer outputs, which are important for the interpretation of research results. Upon completion of this course students should be familiar with above software and have small experience in performing data analysis. Practice is achieved through small projects that are completed in each meeting. Attendance is mandatory and the grading includes a midterm and a final exam.
