Learning Outcomes
After the course students will be able to: - know the basic grammar and syntax of the Biblical Hebrew language - have the basic vocabulary of Biblical Hebrew through texts of central importance, such as the Sema (Deut 6), Gen 1, etc. - practice reading and linguistic analysis of biblical texts - get acquainted with rabbinic prayer texts and hymns - get acquainted with Romoniotes and Sephardic jewish traditions

Course Content (Syllabus)
The purpose of the course is to learn the language of the original Old Testament text. Vocabulary, Grammar, Syntax. Acquaintance with the cultural environment of the time.
