Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to: To create in marble three-dimensional forms with plastic values and personal aesthetic requests. To handle and solve problems that will arise from the processing of the material. To acquire skills, knowledge, and experience for the control and movement of marble volume, using aids and hand machines such as crowbars, slings, crane, etc. To possess the basic principles of maintenance and troubleshooting of this material.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Traditional techniques. Use of hand tools. Flattening of a rough surface and grinding, using the first set of hand tools to understand the morphology and behavior of the material as well as the result obtained from each tool. Relief sculpting: using the finest hand tools, they learn to sculpt a relief.

Description
Continuous assessment (daily, mid-term) Homework Oral presentations. Studio and practical exercises. Final examination and exhibition of the students' artistic work at the end of the semester.
