Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students:
A) They have acquired general knowledge concerning the biology and the ecology of the main fish species of inland waters of Greece,
B) They will understand the ecological relationships of the fish with the abiotic and biotic parameters of their habitats,
C ) They will know the description of the main fish species and their habitats in which they live in our country, their diet and their reproduction,
D ) and finally, they will know facts relating to the management of the fish populations and the risks they face in inland waters of Greece.

Course Content (Syllabus)
General information concerning the biology and ecology of the main fish species of inland waters of Greece.
Detailed description for each fish species of its habitats that lives in our country, its diet, reproduction and the existing fishery management of their populations.
General description of the existing fisheries management of fish populations of inland waters and the risks facing by endangered species.
