Learning Outcomes
The purpose of the course is to familiarize students with the most prominent works of monumental sculpture, their technical and stylistic features as well as their differences in terms of chronology and form.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course aims to present the creation and evolution of monumental sculpture from the geometric period until the end of the 5th century B.C. In this frame the most significant works of sculpture in the round as well as representative examples of free-standing reliefs and architectural sculptures will be discussed according to their chronological order and the workshop they belong to.
