It is recommended that the students have previously attended the courses: Developmental Psychology I & II, Clinical Psychology I, Clinical Psychology: Psychotherapeutic Approaches
Learning Outcomes
Objectives of the course (preferably expressed in terms of learning outcomes and competences): To understand: i) the deviations of development and the disorders from infancy to adolescence, ii) the importance of the psychological assessment, iii) the concepts of risk factors and protective factors, iv) the conceptual and empirical progress in understanding specific disorders.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The psychological assessment. Diagnosis and classification of developmental disorders. Problems in infancy: Attachment disorders. Diffuse pervasive developmental disorders - Autism. Preschool and childhood disorders: Mental retardation. Attention deficit – Over activity problems. Problems in schooling. Learning disabilities. Psychoses in childhood. Depression and suicide in children and adolescents. Schizophrenia.
