Course Content (Syllabus)
A rapid development of the popular studies are discerned during the last two decades, within the wider growth of the cultural studies. Pop and rock music has been an important study field within this development. The present course initially focuses on the ground methodologies that have been used in order to gain a better musical and cultural understanding of this music. It also gradually gives emphasis on the Greek pop/rock culture. Each student develops his own methodological approach to a band or singer of his choice and the outcome is a written assignment.
