Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course the students are able to:
-describe the functioning of the Islamic law, the boundaries between human speech as to the rendition of divine revelation and the interpretation of the divine law
-analyse in particular the Hanafi Law School, the ways in which the judgments are made
-to be sensitive to the challenges and criticisms that are being made about the implementation of Islamic law in Greece and human rights

Course Content (Syllabus)
Monitoring the systemization of Muslim theology by the Hanephite School. Understanding the functioning of Islamic law, the role of divine revelation and human speech, and special reference to the practice of Islamic law in the West Thrace region.
