Course Content (Syllabus)
The course explores the ways in which gender is involved in the secularization process. More specifically, the course examines the effects of religious and political discrimination on gender equality; the social and political processes of religious activism in public space; the relationship of religions with democracy, human rights and gender equality; and also, the tooling of women to fulfill the political aims of Christian, Islamic and Hindu fundamentalism.
