Eligible for applying are graduates of Greek or foreign universities. All eligible applicants for admission to the Postgraduate Programme are required to (1) provide proof of proficiency in English (2) take a written examination in one course, (3) participate in an interview by the Graduate Board of the School.

In order to receive the postgraduate degree in International Relations with specialization in European Studies of the School of Political Sciences, students are obliged to follow and pass the examinations of the required number of courses from the postgraduate studies program (12) and to submit a final dissertation. Marking of each course can be based on written or oral examinations, on the submission of essays or on a combination of the aforementioned methods.

Upon graduating from the postgraduate program of the School of Political Sciences, graduates will be equipped with a complete picture of the institutional and legal framework of the European Union and its relations with the rest of the world, the policies it adopts and implements, the impact of these policies on the Member States and the dynamic relations that are formed between the EU institutions and the Member States in a multilevel governance framework. In addition, they will possess: 

- an excellent knowledge of the subject of European institutions and policies

- knowledge of research methodology
