<p>According to the regulations of the Postgraduate Studies Programme (MSc) "Sciences of Education: Research and Practice in Changing Learning Environments", in order to obtain the Masterdegree (MSc), the postgraduate student has to successfully complete the four (4) compulsory core courses (Semester A), the four (4) specialisation courses (Semester B) of the curriculum, the Masterthesis (Semester C) and defend it in public, thus accumulating a total of 90 credit hours (ECTS).</p><p>Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will have acquired the necessary theoretical and empirical background as well as the skills that will enable them to work in a wide range of educational and research institutions related to formal and non-formal education and/or to continue their studies at doctoral level.</p><p> In particular, upon completion of the programme, graduates of the first specialisation eative Designs for Educational Research and Practiceill be able to:<br>- Generate innovative/alternative pedagogical proposals through applied research and continuous critical reframing.<br>- Make use of contemporary theory and research, review and revise their personal theories and practices and respond creatively to current and future educational challenges and changes.<br>- Support the needs and rights of early and middle childhood children for quality education, quality play, expression and creativity, respecting the multiple dimensions of their diversity.<br>- Develop research projects using qualitative and quantitative research methods and modern research tools within an ethical framework and with respect for children.<br>- work and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams</p><p>In particular, upon completion of the programme, graduates of the Brts in Education specialisation will be able to<br>- Generate, plan and evaluate learning through innovative pedagogical initiatives in Arts Education and Education through the Arts for children of early and middle childhood in the context of formal and non-formal education settings.<br>- Design and implement new research projects to investigate the impact of the arts on the socio-emotional, cognitive and psychomotor domains of childrendevelopment in both formal and non-formal settings.<br>- Develop research projects in this area, using qualitative and quantitative research methods and up-to-date research tools, within an ethical framework and with respect for children.<br>- Document the effectiveness of innovative arts education projects in and through the arts, using current research knowledge and experience.<br>- Work creatively and effectively in interdisciplinary teams, aware of the ways in which the arts contribute to interculturality, inclusion and interdisciplinarity in national and international formal and non-formal education settings.</p>
<p>Professional qualification is applicable in the public or private sector.</p>
<p>The qualification is a terminal award and allows access to Doctoral studies</p>
<p>A scale of 1 to 10 applies to the marks of each subject in the Hellenic Higher Education. The grading scheme is as follows in the qualification Ptychion  (Ministerial Decision no Φ. 1231/B1/425 art. 60, Hellenic Government Gazette no 1099/2000/B):<br>Άριστα (Arista) Excellent: 8.50-10<br>Λίαν Καλώς (Lian Kalos) <br>Very Good: 6.50-8.49<br>Καλώς (Kalos) Good: 6-6.49<br>Minimum passing grade:  6</p>
<p>Three (3) semesters, 90 ECTS.</p><p>A full academic year is equivalent of 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) and each semester of 30 ECTS (1 ECTS equals to 25-30 student work load hours). Compliance with the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) regulation started in 2007, when the Greek  Legislation was harmonized with the relevant European one (Ministerial Decision no 5/89656/_3, art. 1-3, Hellenic Government Gazette no 1466/2007/B). </p>
