<p style="text-align:justify;">Graduate engineers and graduates of other relevant (as specified in point 5 of this article) Schools or Faculties in Greece as well as recognised corresponding foreign Institutions are admitted to the IPSP. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">Final year students of the Departments mentioned in this article, who are expected to have received their degree before the start of the IPSP courses, can also apply. For final year students, the same provisions apply as for diploma holders and graduates mentioned in the previous point.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Obligations of Postgraduate Students of the IPSP “Protection, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments”:</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>I. </strong><i><strong>Attendance of the Curriculum</strong></i><strong> </strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Postgraduate students are required to attend all lectures, laboratories and other activities provided for each course. If the number of absences exceeds (10%) of the total number of teaching hours for a course, this shall be addressed by the CC. Absences cannot exceed 20% of the total number of teaching hours for each course.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Absences are only allowed for specific emergency or health reasons, in which cases the postgraduate student needs to submit to the IPSP secretariat a medical certificate or a certificate from an employer, which explains exactly the reasons for the absence.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>II. </strong><i><strong>Timing of delivery of IPSP assignments</strong></i></p><p style="text-align:justify;">The timetable of the IPSP for each Specialisation is determined by the CC, with the aim of providing better service to students, also taking into account the capabilities of the Departments.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>ΙΙΙ. </strong><i><strong>Students’ obligations, examinations and grades</strong></i></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">Postgraduate students must:</p><p style="text-align:justify;">- submit the required assignments within the prescribed deadlines </p><p style="text-align:justify;">- attend the examinations</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The courses of each semester are examined after the end of the semester. A second examination period is not possible.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The performance evaluation and the grading of the postgraduate students is done by the lecturer based on the assignments, the interim examinations and the final examination. The method used for examining and grading students is decided by the teacher. The evaluation is performed on a scale of 0 to 10. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The minimum passing grade in each course is six (6).</p><p style="text-align:justify;">In case of failure in more than two courses per semester, the postgraduate student is disqualified. In case of failure in one or two courses, the postgraduate student is re-examined in these courses, after the relevant arrangements with the teacher. In the case of a new failure, the student is examined by a three-member committee in accordance with Law 4957/202 and in the case of a new failure, he/she is disqualified.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>IV. </strong><i><strong>Procedure for preparing the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis</strong></i><strong> </strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;">The receipt of the diploma of postgraduate studies presupposes the preparation of a postgraduate diploma thesis individually by each student. The postgraduate diploma theses must be scientifically independent and of a synthetic or research nature.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">For the preparation of a Postgraduate Diploma Thesis (article 34 par. 4 of Law 4485/2017 4957/2022), the Coordinating Committee, following a request from the candidate stating the proposed title of the postgraduate diploma thesis and the proposed supervisor and with an attached summary of the proposed thesis, designates the supervisor of the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis and sets up a Three-Member Examination Committee for the approval of the thesis, with the supervisor being one of the members.  The members of the Three-Member Examination Committee must have the same or related scientific speciality as the subject of the IPSP. The criteria for accepting the thesis preparation proposal will be the relevance of the topic to the IPSP, the expected educational benefits, as well as the elements of originality in the approach. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">During the 2nd semester the postgraduate student, together with the designated supervising professor, drafts a preliminary work chart for the preparation of the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis. This chart shall specify the topic to be studied, the organisation with which any necessary cooperation will take place, as well as the methodology and bibliography to be used.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">During the preparation of the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis, the postgraduate student provides updates to the supervising professor, who monitors whether the goals and specifications of the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis are met.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Due to the peculiarities arising from the interdepartmental composition of the IPSP, it is not possible to describe in detail the extent and content of the theses (drawings, tables, diagrams, texts). The length, the font, the way of writing and everything else related to its structure, as well as its correction schedule, shall be determined by the supervisor and the members of the three-member examination committee. The number of copies of the postgraduate diploma thesis submitted is one (1) in paper form and four (4) in electronic form.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">When the writing of the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis has been completed, the postgraduate student presents the main points and the conclusions of the thesis to the three-member examination committee. The three-member examination committee shall then evaluate the thesis based on the evaluation system referred to in paragraph III of this Article.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Postgraduate Diploma Theses are examined in the examination periods of February and June of the second year of studies. As an exception and after documentation by decision of the UCC, it is allowed for the thesis to be examined up to three (four) semesters later. In case of rejection or non-presentation, one final opportunity is given to present the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis during the examination periods of the following two years (see article 6 par. 5 and 6).</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>IV. </strong><i><strong>Procedure for preparing the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis</strong></i><strong> </strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;">The receipt of the diploma of postgraduate studies presupposes the preparation of a postgraduate diploma thesis individually by each student. In case of rejection or non-presentation, one final opportunity is given to present the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis during the examination periods of the following two years.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#0D0D0D;">In order to receive the Postgraduate Diploma, the payment of tuition fees is required. </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#0D0D0D;">In exceptional cases where there is an objective inability or an important reason, the supervisor or a member of the Three-Member Examination Committee may be replaced by decision of the UCC.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>V.</strong><i><strong> Evaluation of courses</strong></i></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#0D0D0D;">At the end of each semester, postgraduate students evaluate the courses </span>on the special electronic platform.</p>

<p>In case of an announcement of a position related to the subject of the Masterdegree, and depending on the terms of the announcement, its graduates are rewarded.</p>

<p>There is the possibility of preparing a Doctoral Thesis (3rd cycle of studies) in the collaborating Schools of the Faculty of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">The performance of postgraduate students is evaluated on a grading scale from zero (0) to ten (10), as follows:</p><p style="text-align:justify;"> Excellent (8.5 to 10)</p><p style="text-align:justify;"> Very Good (6.5 to 8.5 not included)</p><p style="text-align:justify;"> Good (6 to 6.5 not included).</p><p style="text-align:justify;"> A passing grade is six (6) or higher.</p>

<p>The duration of the program is set at three (3) academic semesters, 90 ECTS.</p><p>A full academic year of study is equivalent to 60 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) and a full semester to 30 ECTS (1 ECTS = 25-30 hours of workload / Harmonization of Greek Legislation, M.D. Φ5/89656/Β3, Government Gazette 1466/2007/Β, article 1-3, according to the European Parliament).  </p><p>The last semester is available for the preparation, writing and presentation by the postgraduate student of the MasterThesis (30 ECTS)</p><p>Each course is assigned the number of ECTS required (>= 2) which expresses the workload required by the student to complete the course, workshop, tutorial, etc.</p>
