Learning Outcomes
The students - will understand and caclculate the mutual interaction of loadings (external loads/ reactions) in mechanical constructions - will calcualte internal loads (forces, moments) that develop witin the construction elements in dependence on the external loads - will undestand friction phenomena and calcualte the interaction of forces that take place in contacted surfaces of constructions.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Synthesis and analysis of forces in plane (2D) and space (3D), moment of a force, couple of forces, actio-reactio, types of bearings (floating bearings, locating bearings, clamping bearings), central and general systems of forces, Free-Body-Diagrams, equilibrium of forces and moments acting on bodies in plane and space, timber frames, graphical and calculational solving methods in plane and space, center of forces/lines/planes/gravity, moments of inertia of planes, Steiner theorem, algebraic translations, internal forces and moments, free, mathematical relations between internal forces and moments, N-Q-M diagrams, friction, law of friction, engineering applications of the law of friction
