<p style="text-align:justify;">University degree (Departments of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, of Athens University EKPA, of the Ionian University and the University of Epirus, of the Department of Music Art and Science of the University of Macedonia, of the Theological Schools of Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as a degree from the Departments of Humanities, social, positive and technological sciences of Universities of the country and recognized similar institutions abroad) or a degree from Higher Military Educational Institutions or Higher Technological Educational Institutions, preferably in a related subject, or a degree from Higher Ecclesiastical Academies and especially from their Church Music Programs. Sufficient and documented knowledge of the theory and practice of Byzantine music science, as well as at least one foreign language with a clear priority and preference for English. Foreign degrees must be recognized by D.O.A.T.A.P., according to Part B΄, Chapters A΄ and B΄ of Law 4957/2022.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">In order to obtain the degree of the interdepartmental postgraduate program "Byzantine Music Science and Artistic Creation", students are required to attend and be successfully examined in the required courses (60 ECTS), as well as to write and successfully support their MasterThesis (30 ECTS), with a topic that falls within Byzantine Music Science and Artistic Creation. The successful completion of the Program contributes to the better preparation and training of future music teachers who will staff Primary and Secondary Education, church and other music schools and conservatories, all kinds of Music Academies, staff for cultural and ecclesiastical organizations in Greece and abroad.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">The title of the Interdepartmental Program of Master Studies belongs to level 7 of the National and European Qualifications Framework and allows continuation to a doctoral dissertation.</p>

<p>3 SEMESTERS, 90 ECTS.</p><p>A full academic year is equivalent to 60 ECTS units and each semester to 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) (1ECTS= 30 student work load hours). Compliance with the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) regulations started in 2007, when the Greek Legislation was harmonized with the relevant European one (Ministerial Decision no Φ.5/89656/Β3, art. 1-3, Hellenic Government Gazette no1466/2007/B). Each course is credited with a number of ECTS (>=2) according to the studentworkload (contact hours, laboratory work, examination etc) and accumulation of credits (ECTS) is accomplished after successful completion of course.</p>
