Course Content (Syllabus)
Mineral phase equilibria, kinetics of chemical reactions, metamorphic processes. Interpretation and significance of mineral assemblages in metamorphic rocks. Phase diagrams and analysis of metamorphic phases in equilibrium in various metamorphic rock types. Metamorphic processes in open and closed systems, the role and importance of fluids and metasomatism in metamorphic rocks.
