Fresh water quality and monitoring: natural water quality and water pollution; definitions; groundwater quality; physico-chemical and biological water quality assessment; aquatic ecotoxicology: Environmental characteristics of pollutants; sources, transport and fates; test organisms and methods; Field and laboratory work in water quality monitoring: sampling, storage and preservation methods; field measurements; Water quality control in the laboratory.
