Learning Outcomes
Upon successful accomplishment of the Unit, the students will be able to use appropriate computational and design tools in order to address the challenges arising from their studies and future professional career. These tools are primary related to Computer-Aided Design (CAD)and Excel-like worksheets tailored to civil engineering problems.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The Unit was first introduced in the academic year 2002-2003 with the aim to familiarize the students with the use of appropriate computational and design tools for both their studies and their future professional career. These tools are primary related to Computer-Aided Design (CAD)and Excel-like worksheets tailored to civil engineering problems. The Unit is taught in the Departmental Computer Lab in classes of 30 people wherein each student has dedicated access to a PC.
