Learning Outcomes
Upon succesful completion of the course, each student will have:
1. Become familiar with the complete design of the set space and the issues of design implementation. The spaces correspond to a theatrical play and the adaptation of a short story to film.
2. Become familiar with film art direction and depiction of the set (from wide to close up)
3. Gained knowledge of set constructions through presentations in class as well as execution of exercises. Gained an experience of set constructions through visits to theatrical stages and film sets as well as construction workshops.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This workshop course, consists of exercises through which students:
1. Confront the challenge of the complete design of the set space and the issues of design implementation. Starting from a theatrical text and a short story they practice in techniques both of transforming an existing space, as well as making a space from scratch. Selecting these two texts gives students the opportunity to confront issues related to a period piece as well as a modern one.
2. Become familiar with film art direction and depiction of the set (from wide to close up)
3. Gain knowledge of set constructions through presentations in class as well as execution of exercises. Gained an experience of set constructions through visits to theatrical stages and film sets as well as construction workshops.
