Section 1 (6 Hours): Simulation of analog telecommunication systems - Design of AM and FM transceivers - Noise in AM and FM modulation Section 2 (6 Hours): Simulation of digital telecommunication systems - Delta modulation - BPSK, MPSK και MSK transceivers - Influence of thermal noise and multipath propagation on BPSK and QPSK modulation - Pseudorandom sequence generation - Characterizing a binary symmetric channel (BSC) Section 3 (15 Ώρες): Laboratory Experiments - WIRELESS MODEMS (DS/SS): Wireless Link measurements on Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum MODEMs - PROTOCOL ANALYSIS : ISDN VOICE AND DATA CALLS – Characteristics of DSL Technology. - ATM: Transmission of IP packets over ATM (LANE, Classical IP) - ΤELEPHONY: Digital telephony by Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) - WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORKS (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g) - OPTICAL FIBER NETWORK ASSESSMENT - OTDR MEASUREMENTS
