- Acoustics and studio technology
- Sound capturing - recording technology and methods
- Audio processing and editing
- Audio content management
- Audio broadcasting

- Sound propagation principles, room acoustics and studios
- Microphones technology and sound capturing techniques
- Stereo sound recording and multi-channel audio methods
- Loudspeakers technology, multi-channeled surround and 3D audio reproduction techniques
- Analog – digital recording, audio signal conditioning
- Time domain (amplitude, dynamics), spectral and cepstral audio analysis and processing
- Audio content management, content-based analysis and audio semantics
- Audio compression and audio content delivery (broadcasting-webcasting, streaming), user interaction, personalized services
