After the completion of the first semester of preclinic endodontics, the students will be able to acknowledge • The basic principles of the endodontic therapy. • The morphology of the root canal system. • The tools and materials. • Intraoral radiographs • The preparation and obturation of the root canals.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This lesson includes theoretical education and laboratory practice of the pregraduated students in terms of the endodontic therapy. The aim of the lesson is for the students to gain knowledge of the basic concepts and principles of the endodontic therapy, to recognize the morphology of the teeth, to be able to take and study intraoral radiographs, to recognize the tools and the materials and finally to understand and apply the classic techniques of the preparation and obturation of the root canals. The laboratory practice involves the endodontic therapy in anterior teeth.
