Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of the course the students will gain the ability to find and exploit the sources of Ecclesiastical History. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to compare and evaluate them. In addition, they will learn about the most important periods of History of the Church.

1. The sources of history of the Church. 2. The New Testament as a source of Ecclesiastical History 3. Byzantine Ecclesiastical Historians I (4th - 9th c.) 4. Byzantine Ecclesiastical Historians II (10th - 15th c.) 5. Byzantine Secular Historians 6. Fathers΄ Texts of the Church 7. Other sources of Ecclesiastical History, I: Inscriptions, churches, ecclesiastical buildings, coins. 8. Other sources of Ecclesiastical History, II: Letters, typica of monasteries, guide tours. 9. Other sources of Ecclesiastical History, III: State laws, etc 10. Acts of Ecumenical Councils, (I-II) 11. Acts of Ecumenical Councils, (III-IV) 12. Acts of Ecumenical Councils, (V-VI- VII) 13. Modern sources of Ecclesiastical History: magazines, Internet, books, radio, newspapers, TV, etc.
