Course Content (Syllabus)
1. Definition of Liturgic, the content of the course, research methods, relation to other allied and auxiliary courses.
2. Α brief history of divine worship.
3. The Christian Temple (the Temple in the Old Testament and in the New Testament, Temple and Church, consecration).
4. Liturgical vessels, holy vestments, liturgical books.
5. The daily cycles of prayer (Vespers, Compline, Nocturne, Matins, Hours).
6. Eortologio (generally about the ecclesiastical imerologion, Sunday, Festal, Marian feasts, feasts of the holy angels and of the Holy Cross, memories of saints).
7. The divine liturgy in the ancient Church (the liturgy the first three centuries, the divine liturgy after the 4th century, liturgical forms).
8. Liturgies of the Byzantine liturgical type, the Liturgy of Presanctified.
9. The holy sacraments in general. The sacraments of the Christian initiation (Baptism, Chrismation, Eucharist).
10. Repentance, Confession, Holy Unction.
11. Marriage, ordination, elevations.
12. M. Agiasmos, various services, various prayers.
13. Liturgical vocabulary.
