- get familiar with some important moments of Solomos's critical perception
- inquire the relation between poetry, ideology and critic
- relate Solomos's literature with the historical and political situation of his era
- get acquainted with methodological and filological issues intrinsic of the reading of literature and in particular the literary work of Solomos

Course Content (Syllabus)
On reading Solomos
This lesson will try to undertake a detailed analysis of Solomos's entire work and its readings in relation to the political and ideological backround from Solomos's time until today. The lesson will be based on several sources, literal and non literal. The main aim is to recognize the historical dimension of the act of reading and to familiarise with some important moments of the reading of Solomos's work.
