Ιntroduction to Cognitive Psychology. Information Processing Theory. Sensory, short-term, and working memory: Structure and models. Long-term memory: Structure and models. Knowledge representation (concepts, schemata, propositions, scripts, production rules). Information encoding and retrieval. Cognitive development facilitation: Thinking, problem solving, knowledge representation. Cognitive processes in the classroom: Learning how to read, reading to learn, and writing.
