Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to:
• Articulate a clear artistic discourse through their understanding of the Language of Printmaking based on the experience/expertise gained during the previous years of training.
• Start conceiving/envisioning/conceptualising an aesthetic outcome that expands beyond the limits of printed image.
• Have comprehended the print Language to such a degree that will feed and enrich their own discipline-practice in a productive and critical way, in subject-matters that concern the whole of contemporary Fine Art Discourse.
• Be able to discuss in depth and make meaningful points as a team or individual.
• Be able to support in public their art practice and research (that has been materialised in the workshop’s framework) by running presentations that take place within and beyond the workshop boundaries.
• Be fully qualified of most analogue Printmaking processes, in view of enjoying future accessibility in other professional printmaking workshops around the globe (through art-residencies).

Course Content (Syllabus)
This semester studies focus on the accumulation of knowledge acquired during the previous years of printmaking practice and the pursuit of an aesthetic result with prominent features of individual research. It consists of essays, presentations, round table discussions in order to a) enhance the research and critical thinking, b) promote professionalism, and c) encourage a more scientific approach.

Description
It’s all about the study and the open research of the many and different trends and perceptions, like the mixed media techniques in engraving and printing, of different other techniques, but also issues like making hand-made paper, engraving and monotypes, painting over copies, printmaking and photography, printmaking and digital image, printmaking in space as installation or construction.
For class teaching, are made projections, also the use of drawing programs on PC and through the supervised access of the students who are interested in using the PC-s that are on the first floor of the workshop.
Using the web, we propose visiting the important galleries, museums, etc.
The students use e-mail as a mean of communicating and they have access at the announcement made from the workshop that are found on the website of the Faculty.
The work of students is examined in the presents of every student in the workshop.
