Course Content (Syllabus)
The main focus of this course is to approach the history and the social structure of the historicalminority Groups in Greece and to examine the Greek minority education policy in relation with them during the interwar period. Within this ,frameworkttention is also paid to the influence of diplomatic relations withother Balkan countries in the formulation of minoirity policies and their relation to the promotion of linguistic, cultural and national homogeneity over the same period. The politic and the social development within these specific groups are both examined carefully. Furthermore, other related issues as educational treatment of these groups, in the context of the specific minority educational systems or the national education system are approached through the study of groups like Armenians and the Jews of gREECE, mUSLIM cHAMS OF tHESPROTIA AND PRO_rOMANIAN vLACHS AND Pomacs and turcophone Muslims Of Western Thrace.
