Course Content (Syllabus)
The course focuses on the detailed presentation of minimally invasive techniques for addressing obstructive primary diseases of the salivary glands. The following topics are covered in the course: Sialendoscopy: Equipment and usage of the sialendoscope. Indications for conducting sialendoscopy. Capabilities of sialendoscopy, ranging from simple diagnostics to LASER applications. Combined approaches in conjunction with sialendoscopy. Open intraoral accesses: Techniques for preserving the salivary gland without removing the ductal system. Indications for open intraoral accesses. Practical Training: Postgraduate students will have the opportunity to practice on fresh specimens, applying the aforementioned techniques. This way, students are expected to gain relevant knowledge and skills in the management of salivary gland pathologies, enhancing their clinical experience and capabilities.
