Learning Outcomes
New and old definitions of sepsis and septic shock will be analyzed, pathophysiology, pathogens, risk factors will be studied, and students will be able to recognize the clinical picture, apply the correct diagnosis, use early/timely tools recognition of sepsis, aiming at prognosis, treatment, and with an emphasis on patient resuscitation, antimicrobial therapy (type, dose, time of initiation, duration of administration, modification/de-escalation), surgical treatment and immunotherapy
