At the end of the course, students will be able to: - design geotechnical projects against natural hazards using state-of-the-art design methods - design foundations (surface and deep) against earthquake, landslides, floods, using modern design methods, design codes, and software - design engineering works taking into account the soil-foundation-structure interaction using state-of-the-art design methods, design codes, and software - design engineering works against liquefaction using modern design methods, design codes, and software - design engineering works against landslides using modern design methods, design codes, and software - design engineering works against floods using modern design methods, design codes, and software - design underground structures, pipelines, and tunnels against earthquakes using modern design methods, regulations, and software
