Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: - Analyze the operation of simple circuits with diodes, transistors and operational amplifiers - Utilize diodes in the design of circuits with specific operating characteristics - Using transistors, to design simple voltage amplifier circuits with specific operating characteristics - Use operational amplifiers in the design of circuits for the implementation of various functions

Course Content (Syllabus)
- Introductory concepts of electrical circuits, Kirchhoff law, Thevenin equivalent. - Introduction to semiconductors, p-n junction. - Diodes: characteristics and performance, circuits with diodes, voltage rectification, stabilization with zener diodes, applications. - Bipolar transistors (BJTs): characteristics and performance, circuits with transistors in switching mode. - Voltage amplifier circuits with one transistor: common emitter and common collector amplifier, series connection of amplifier stages. - Field Effect Transistors (FETs): characteristics and performance of the various types (JFET, MOSFET), Basic voltage amplifier circuits with FETs. - Operational amplifier: operating characteristics, structures and functional analysis of basic circuits with operational amplifiers.
