Learning Outcomes
Training to the study of texts of the French literature from classicism and the enlightenment
Improvement of the reading and writing comprehension and expression
Familiarization with the basic terminology/jargon of literary analysis
Basic/partial study of the French literary history
Autonomous understanding and interpretation of different literary texts
Capacity to distinguish different types of texts as well as stylistic characteristics

Course Content (Syllabus)
We study extracts from representative literary works from classicism and the enlightenment. Special emphasis is given to the socio-historical context of the era as well as to the relations that developed between the various art forms.
