Course Content (Syllabus)
Structural morphology and influence on the seismic behavior of reinforced structures – Structural systems according Eurocode 8 (EC8) - Seismic design of concrete structures according to Eurocode 8 - Design spectra. - Seismic design actions. - Distribution of base shear - Capacity design. – Collapse mechanisms – Structural ductility- Design of R/C elements for medium and high ductility classes (beams, columns, walls, joints) – Interaction of adjacent structures (pounding).
