Course Content (Syllabus)
The course, "Parish Administration and Organization", is designed to train and educate individuals who will either lead or assist parish administration, providing them with a solid theoretical foundation for effective organization and management. It aims to deepen the understanding of the nature, function and purpose of the parish, so that administrative practices are based on theological, ecclesiological, and canonical principles. Since parishes function as independent public law entities – while remaining under the jurisdiction the local dioceses (Metropolitans) – the course highlights the importance of comprehending the legal and regulatory framework that governs the ecclesiastical administrative systems within the Greek state. This knowledge is essential to effectively manage the rights and responsibilities that arise within parish operations.
