Learning Outcomes
With the successful completion of this course, the students will be able to understand the meaning and implementation of ecclesiastical ceremonial procedure in the Church of Greece and in the Ecumenical Patriarchate. They will also be trained in letter-writing, and in ecclesiastical epistolography in particular.

Course Content (Syllabus)
1. Ecclesiastical Ceremonial Procedure: Introduction, Bibliography. 2. The Protocol of Ecclesiastical Order and Ceremonial Procedure in the Church of Greece. 3. Precedence: State, Ecclesiastical. 4. Designations. 5. Presentation and Analysis of the Regulations of the Code. 6. The Officia (Ecumenical Patriarchate – Church of Greece). 7. The official visit of the Ecumenical Patriarch to the Metropolis of the Church of Greece. 8. Presentation of Cases of the Code. 9. Ecclesiastical Epistolography: Theory. 10. Ecclesiastical Epistolography: Training. 11-12. Presentations of Students’ Essays. 13. Educational Trip.
