The learning objectives of the course are for students to delve into a broad range of the subject area of material removal processes, acquiring both theoretical and practical knowledge. In this way, they will gain a comprehensive understanding of the application of these processes and the ability to solve complex problems that arise during their use.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Machining of metals by material removal. Basic cutting processes (turning, milling). Tool wear and tool life. Calculation of cutting force and measurement of its components. Machinability of workpiece materials. Cutting tool materials and standardizations. Gear cutting. Gear hobbing, gear shaping, rack-type shaping, gear shaving, gear grinding, and metrological inspection of gears.
