Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will: 1) understand the basic principles of proteomic analysis 2) learn ways to identify and quantify proteins and post-translational modifications 3) understand DNA, RNA, and protein interactions 4) be able to recognize and identify the biological role of genes 5) become familiar with molecular pathways, gene ontology, protein interactions, and gene networks.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The contents of the course include: 1) introduction to proteomic analysis; 2) principle of mass spectrometry and types of modern instrumentation; 3) ways to identify and quantify proteins; 4) ways to identify and quantify post-translational modifications, 5) interaction between DNA, RNA, and proteins, 6) general methods for identifying and quantifying the biological role of genes, 7) molecular pathways, gene ontology, protein interactions, and gene networks.
