Learning Outcomes
• Understand the reasons why underage victims conceal their sexual abuse.
• Comprehend the imperatives of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child and the principles of Child-Friendly Justice.
• Become sensitive to ethical issues related to the protection of minors.
• Learn about the Structured Protocol of Forensic Interviewing applicable in our legal system.
• Understand the stages of Forensic Interviewing and familiarize themselves with the fundamental principles governing them, with the aim of preventing the secondary victimization of minors.
• Comprehend the prescribed procedures for involuntary psychiatric hospitalization and the current practical implementation of it in Greece.

Course Content (Syllabus)
A significant percentage of minors and adults are victims of sexual assault. In most of these cases, physical abuse coexists with sexual abuse. Various theories have been developed regarding sexual aggression and rape. In this specific section, we will discuss sexual violence (rape, epidemiology, clinical characteristics of perpetrators, the biological background of individuals with sexual aggression, paraphilias, child pornography - the internet, rape, early traumatic experiences, and delinquency, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and delinquency, parenting skills), etiology, and therapeutic interventions. Involuntary hospitalization.

Student Assessment
Description
For the final evaluation and grading of postgraduate students in the courses, the following factors are taken into consideration:
a) distance learning / physical attendance in the classes.
b) Performance in an assessment judged by the instructor, either in oral or written exams, a research paper, or a combination of the above.
The grading scale for assessing the performance of postgraduate students is defined from zero to ten as follows: Excellent (8.5 - 10), Very Good (7 - 8), Good (6 - 6.5). A passing grade in the exams of the Postgraduate Program and the thesis is set at equal to or greater than 6.
