General Prerequisites
Students must be acquainted with the theory of semiotics and culture and must have computer skills.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course students should have: 1.a basic knowledge concerning Digital Humanities (DH) 2.dealt with concrete aspects of DH from a semiotic and intersemiotic point of view 3.basic skills for applying the acquired knowledge to practices in different fields

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course aims to introduce the students to the intersemiotic-polysemiotic dimensions of the contemporary digital culture, the digital semiosphere as well as to the theoretical models, methods and tools used in the relevant Digital HUmanities (DH) approaches. The course examines, from a critical point of view, the dialogue between DH and semiotics, in the context of multimodality, multimediality and intermediality.
