Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will: 1. have basic and integrated interdisciplinary knowledge for the sustainable management of natural resources. 2. have basic and integrated interdisciplinary knowledge of the protected areas. 3. be able to prepare Integrated or specific plans for the sustainable management of protected areas 4. develop critical thinking skills about "Sustainable Agricultural Production Systems" in protected areas in relation to climate change.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Brief review of problems facing the natural and agricultural ecosystems of Greece. Protected Areas of Greece. Field margin ecosystems. Codes of good agricultural practices. Environmental impact assessment studies. Directive 92/43 EU. Management plans of Protected Areas (Specific and integrated). Structure, legal aspects, drafting, implementations, tracking guide of Protected Areas and review of management plans. The management bodies of protected areas. Legislation.
