<p>A Degree awarded by a Greek public University or by recognized foreign Institution of equivalent status or by a Technological Education Institute is required.</p>

<p>The educational process includes systematic studies during the two semesters of the academic year and the preparation of a MasterThesis that must be completed during the third semester.</p><p>Systematic studies involve compulsory attendance and examination in ten (10) courses. All courses are semester-long, lasting thirteen (13) weeks and include lectures, workshops, tutorials, exercises, assignments. The total duration of each lecture of all courses is two (2) hours per week.</p><p>The courses are divided into five (5) courses per Semester: five (5) Compulsory courses in the First Semester and five (5) Elective courses in the Second Semester.</p><p>After attending the five (5) Compulsory courses in the 1st Semester of studies, in the 2nd semester the postgraduate student chooses one of the three (3) Specializations offered: 1st Specialization: "Tourism and Regional Development", 2nd Specialization: "Environment and Sustainable Tourism", 3rd Specialization: "Cultural - Religious Tourism". The postgraduate student chooses a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of four (4) courses from the specialization to follow, and a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of two (2) courses from the other two Specializations</p>

<p>Professional qualification is not applicable in the public or private sector.</p>

<p>The qualification is a terminal award and allows access to doctoral studies.</p>

<p>A scale of 1 to 10 applies to the marks of each subject in the Hellenic Higher Education</p>

<p>3 SEMESTERS, 90 ECTS</p><p>A full academic year is equivelant to 60 ECTS units and each semester to 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) (1 ECTS = 25-30 student work load hours). Compliance with the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) regulations started in 2007, when the Greek Legislation was harmonized with the relevant European one (Ministerial Decision no Φ5/89656/Β3, art.1-3, Hellenic Government Gazette no 1466/2007/B). Each course is credited with a number of ECTS (>=2) according to the student΄ s workload (contact hours, laboratory work, examination , etc) and accumulation of credits (ECTS) is accomplished after successful completion of the course.</p>
