TRAINING AND PREVENTION OF INJURIES IN FOOTBALL

<p>a) Bachelor΄s Degree from accredited University (AEI) or Technological Education Institute (TEI) </p><p>b) Certificate of competency in foreign language </p><p>c) Recommendation letters from faculty members </p>
<p>The Master΄s degree program requires that all students complete coursework in three (3) semesters. During the first and second semester students should attend ten (10) core modules (30 ECTS for each semester) the third semester is devoted to the writing of the postgraduate thesis which all graduate students must formally and publicly present and defend. Participation in all courses, workshops, and practical training modules is mandatory for all graduate students (absence from course attendance must not exceed 10%). Students who fail twice the examinations for a core module are required to repeat attendance of that core module.</p><p>The graduate programs leading to a Master΄s Degree are based on the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) (article 14 N. ΦΕΚ 3374/2005). Students must accumulate 60 ECTS for one year of full-time study while student workload for one semester corresponds to 30 ECTS.</p><p>The object of the Postgraduate Program (P.MS. Training and prevention of injuries in football.) Is related to the design of training programs to improve the performance of footballers based on the new modern trends in modern football. At the same time, all the necessary knowledge is provided for the construction of exercise programs that prevent injuries in football.</p><p>Purpose of the P.M.S. are: a) to offer executives with specialized knowledge in a highly competitive work environment and b) to be a stage for the creation of new scientists in the specific field of knowledge.</p><p><strong>Upon obtaining the Masters diploma, students will be able to:</strong></p><ol><li>Design training programs for preparation and injury prevention in soccer, in accordance with the latest scientific research.</li><li>Utilize scientific assessments (ergometric, biochemical, biomechanical, etc.) of athletes in the design of training programs and injury prevention in soccer.</li><li>Develop management strategies as part of a specialized scientific team supporting soccer players.</li><li>Analyze in depth and critically evaluate scientific research data in this specific field of study.</li><li>Design small-scale experiments in various areas of training and injury prevention in soccer.</li></ol>
