<p><b>PTYCHIO FROM UNIVERSITY OR TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION INSTITUTE </b></p><p>(Ptychio = Graduation Degree from a higher education institution) </p><p>Applicants for the PMS program should be graduates from a Medical School or Nursing School of a Greek or an equivalent foreign University as well as graduates from Technological Education Institutes (i.e. Nursing, Medical Laboratories) or from other Schools of Higher Education on a relative scientific field. </p>

<p><b>REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF POSTGRADUATE SPECIALIZATION DEGREE </b></p><p>According to the published founding regulation ΦΕΚ 5070/31-12-2019, the acquisition of the Postgraduate Specialization Degree in Treatment options and management of vascular surgery emergencies (MScVSE) requires that the postgraduate students have to complete a set of courses extending over 2 semesters and a Postgraduate Diploma Thesis, which corresponds to a total of 75 ECTS (Ministerial Decision 67145/B7, Law 1889/2007/Β7). </p><p>Τhey have to attend and successfully be examined in 8 subjects (Background - General Knowledge, Scientific Area, Dexterity Development), which are divided as follows: a) In the 1st semester (25 ECTS) - 4 subjects and 120 hours of practical clinical exercise b) In the 2nd semester (25 ECTS) - 4 subjects and 120 hours of practical clinical exercise. In addition, they design and accomplish their Postgraduate Diploma Thesis (25 ECTS), which is started at 1^st semester (5 ECTS), is continuing at 2^nd semester (5 ECTS) and it is completed the summer period (15 ECTS) followed by the public defense and examination. </p><p>Objective of the PMS program is the study, research and the postgraduate education in a broad spectrum of health scientists in the field of therapeutic management of vascular surgery emergencies. </p><p>The purpose of the MPS is to promote the scientific knowledge in the field of treating patients with urgent vascular diseases, the development of relevant scientific research, and the provision of appropriate postgraduate training to meet the needs for scientific staff at the postgraduate level of education. </p><p>In addition to the basic scientific knowledge, the postgraduate students acquire the ability: 1) to apply knowledge in practice, 2) to search, analyze, and compose data and information using appropriate technology 3) to work independently or in a team and / or in a multidisciplinary scientific environment, 4) to adapt in new situations and make decisions, 5) to understand information in a foreign language, 6) to produce new ideas and scientific knowledge, 7) to show responsibility, 8) to develop critical ability and 9) to promote free, productive and inductive thinking. </p>

<p>Professional qualification is not applicable in the public or private sector. </p>

<p>The qualification is a terminal award and allows access to doctoral studies. </p>

<p>A scale of 1 to 10 applies to the marks of each subject in the Hellenic Higher Education. The grading scheme for the qualification of the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Study Program follows the following distribution : (Ministerial Decision no Φ.1231/Β1/425 art.60, Hellenic Government Gazette no 1099/2000/B): </p><p>Άριστα (Arista) Excellent: 8.50 - 10.00 </p><p>Λίαν Καλώς (Lian Kalos) Very Good : 6.50 - 8.49 </p><p>Καλώς (Kalos) Good : 6.00 - 6.49 </p><p>Ανεπιτυχώς (Anepitychos) Fail : 0,00 - 5,99 </p><p>Minimum passing grade : 6 (AUTH Rule of Procedure Α.Π.Θ., no 127/2-2-11). </p>

<p><b>TWO</b><b> SEMESTERS (Winter and Spring) </b><b>AND SUMMER PERIOD</b><b>, </b><b>75</b><b> ECTS </b></p><p>A full academic year (which includes the two semesters) is equivalent to 60 ECTS units and each semester to 30 ECTS. The summer period is equivalent to 15 ECTS and the completion of PMS in a total of 75 ECTS. </p><p>Each course is assigned with the required ECTS (? 2) that corresponds with the workload that is required for the completion by the student of theoretical courses, of practical clinical exercises etc. </p><p>(ECTS = European Credit Transfer System, 1ECTS= 25-30 - Compliance of Greek Legislation with the relevant European, Ministerial Decision no Φ5/89656/β3, Hellenic Government Gazette no 1466/2007/B, art. 1-3). </p>
