Study Guide

<p>The Postgraduate Program (P.M.S.) admits graduates of first-cycle studies in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology or Genetics, Molecular Biology, Midwifery, Biological Applications and Technologies, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics, Radiotherapy, as well as candidates or trainees specializing in Obstetrics and Oncology from universities in the country or recognized equivalent institutions abroad (par. 1).</p>

<p>In order to obtain the MasterDegree, students are required to attend and be examined in the compulsory courses, elective courses, as well as the MasterThesis.</p>

<p>Professional accreditation is not applied in the public or private sector; the MasterDegree is sufficient.</p>

<p>Access to doctoral studies.</p>

<p>A scale of 1 to 10 applies to the grades of each module in the Hellenic Higher Education. The grading scheme is as follows:</p><p>Άριστα (Arista) Excellent: 8.50 - 10</p><p>Λίαν Καλώς (Lian Kalos) Very Good: 6.50 - 8.49</p><p>Καλώς (kalos) Good : 5.00 - 6.49</p><p>Ανεπιτυχώς (Anepitychos) Fail: 0.00-4.99</p><p>Minimum passing grade: 5.00.</p>

<p>The duration of studies in the Postgraduate Program (P.M.S.) leading to the award of a MasterDegree (M.D.) is set at three (3) academic semesters of full-time study [i.e., two (2) semesters of coursework and one (1) semester for the preparation and writing of the MasterThesis].</p>

<p>Full-time intensive study or part-time study.</p>
