Learning Outcomes
Upon the succesfuul completion of the course, stidents will:
- gain an understnading of the different modes interaction between national, European and other international institutions during the formulation, adoption, and imlementation of specific policies
- comprehend the opportunities and limitations relating to policy-making that are being posed by the participation of a country in the EU
- be in the posistion to study in depth specific aspects of the main policies co-determined by the European Union

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines the policies adopted and implemented by the European Union from the Treaty of Rome (1957) until today. The content and the significance of these policies is analysed; at the same time, the processes of policy formulation, impelmentation and assessment are being presented. Speceial emphasis is attributed on the study of the interaction between the European and national levels of governance, asa well as on the examination of the role of the wider international context.
